BARLEY GRASS

Similar to wheatgrass, barley grass is the early growth stage of the barley plant. At this young stage, the plant is brilliant green in colour, and closer to a vegetable than a grain in composition. The grass is rich in phytonutrients, with both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Along with Chlorella and Spirulina, Barley Grass gives Racing Greens its “green power.”

CHLORELLA

Chlorella is a freshwater green algae rich in chlorophyll. Because chlorophyll is similar in structure to human hemoglobin, it supports the body in replenishing red blood cells. These oxygen-bearing blood cells are crucial to endurance training like cycling.

SPIRULINA

Spirulina is blue-green algae valued as a food source since ancient times. Recent studies have indicated that spirulina can increase endurance in athletes. As well as promoting ​more efficient fat-burning​, it promotes antioxidant activity after exercise.

GREEN TEA

Studies have shown that green tea extract ​improves performance​​ in endurance athletes. It’s thought that it works in a similar way to spirulina (above) by helping the body burn fat for energy, rather than

VITAMIN C
